Open Team

Trail running is a young sport but one that is rapidly gaining momentum. With barely three decades of evolution, it is now experiencing a key moment: more competitive, more global, and with an increasing level of demand. In this context, Open Trail Team was created with a clear mission: to foster young talent and accelerate professionalization based on strong values such as effort, meritocracy, and responsible excellence.
The team provides structure, support, and a long-term vision for under-23 runners, preparing them to compete in leading national races and to make the leap to international stages such as the Skyrunning World Cup or the UTMB circuit.

We present its members:

Julia Tofiño

The youngest member of the team, she balances academic demands (medical student) with sporting ambition. She is consistent, methodical, and has a strong long-term vision.

Marcos López

An under-20 international athlete and a student of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFYD), he stands out for his competitive maturity and solidity in demanding environments.

Nadine Calahorra

From Madrid and a future CAFYD student, she is a mountain enthusiast with steady progression and great potential for growth.

Aniol Pujiula

A mountain runner with international projection, Top 5 under-23 in the World Cup; the Catalan athlete is an example of performance and vision.

Ángel Fernández

Originally from Asturias, he possesses remarkable early talent. One of his major achievements is winning a bronze medal at the Spanish Championships. He is capable of running 5K in 14:41 and 10K at a pace of 3:03/km.

The partnership between Kumbrex and Open Team responds to a shared vision of sport: performance understood as an integral process in which health, science, and values go hand in hand. Both organizations are committed to the sustainable development of athletes, combining innovation, knowledge, and genuine support. More than a collaboration, it is a strategic alliance aimed at building the future of trail running from its foundations, supporting those who are called to lead it.
